Context:
For several years of the pandemic, Ithaca College used a system of daily surveys and colored badges to monitor student health.
Before entering the dining hall, gym, or school function, students would present a green badge on their phones to show their compliance with testing procedures and daily health surveys.
The Problem:
The health badge system is slow, time consuming, and difficult to navigate.
It feels like a pandemic quick fix that's long overstayed its welcome.
